Blogging Tumblr: Words and Pictures Together

Yesterday, we looked at Facebook and I called writing there a very minimal type of blogging. Today, let’s take a look at Tumblr.

Unlike Fb, Tumblr is a proper micro-blog. Its focus is on the use of images but it is ideal for people who like to write short posts very quickly and simply.

Another good reason to use Tumblr rather than Blogger or WordPress its use of hashtags. They are central to the Tumblr experience. Placed at the bottom of posts, they connect people in a very immediate way: to find other Catholic bloggers (who have used the same hashtag) just click on your own.

So, how does one sign up to Tumblr? Herbert Lui at Guiding Tech has your back.

Blogs are exploding in popularity. With blogging now mainstream, services are starting to streamline the process to make it easier and funnier for aspiring bloggers. Tumblr is such a service, and aims to not only simplify the experience, but to make the end result appear as beautiful as any other blog.
